This is surreal. I've been planning this trip for months and all of the sudden I'm here.
The flight was actually pretty good. It was about 8 hours from Dallas to Paris. I had the whole center row of 3 seats to myself. It was nice to actually lay down and sleep on a plane for once. Once I arrived I hopped on the train to the central station of Gare du Nord where I bought my week long metro pass. My hostel check in was still 3 hours away so I hit the streets. The area around the station is literally filled with tuxedo shops and cafes. I eventually found a little boulangerie that had some locals lined up outside to get a sandwich so I decided to check it out. I ended up getting an amazing sandwich for pretty cheap. Anyway, I found my way back to the train and took it 3 stops to where my Hostel is. Right now I'm sitting in the bar, drinking a 1664 beer and writing this. I'm not really sure whats next but I can't wait. There is so much to do here and I am ready to see it all.
What is that a picture of? Looks like A cafeteria and is the other one your hostel? Going to install Skype later today. Have fun! Get some sleep tonight!
